    f!@#$% f!@#

so the cougar started leaking coolant... I pulled the ac and ps off to see what was going on and the coolant is leaking out of the bolt that goes through the water pump timing cover into the block. im like no biggy Ill give it a turn and all will be well. so I grab a ratchet socket... and start to tighten it... that very second I thought to my self what are you doing pull the bolt out and throw a washer on it so you dont break it... too late it broke.

so any tips on taking the timing cover off with out taking the oil pan off.....

take the bolts that are in the oil pan/timing cover out and take the cover off and then when you buy a timing gasket kit it comes with new oil pan "sections"? could be wrong but and to seal that bolt either thread sealant or rtv silicone will work, i was afraid that mine would leak to but its holding to today with rtv so if you use rtv let it sit over night to set or it will probably leak again

when you get the timing cover knocked loose be very carefull not to rip the lower lip off the oil pan gasket. if your carefull and the gasket is new you can put it back in and be ok. if its old and is all distorted you can cut the gasket off at the block. just make sure to use that front lip seal part and a good silicone.
it's almost allstock! except the wheels.
