    skool me on tranny fluid

what do you look for in a good tranny fluid to use in a MANUAL transmission? something that makes it quiet and you should notice a difference in how it shifts also correct?
well when i switched fluids and ran gm synchromesh i had also gone with a new clutch setup. so it was hard to tell what did what. over all i wasn't that impressed with the money i spent on fluid. yes it was quiet but it never really felt different for me. not to mention i think i had other issues as well but still. didn't really impress me.

what would you use for a t56 for fluid? i have to pick some up tomorrow and not sure what i should go with

I think I'm running specified 70wt gear oil in my T-5. Had a YS1 tranny in my integra that called for Honda fluid or regular engine oil, GM synchromesh was the best thing i ever did for it... For you: DEX III

Amsoil ATF is what I run in my 3550. Seems to work alright. You can add some friction modifier to help as well...

Assuming it is the original transmission in the car in his sig, that would be a non world class t5 which uses 70wt gear oil rather than ATF.

Amsoil ATF...believe it was Dex III synthetic equivalent. Been in my T5 forever, tranny shifts great, smooth as ever with 108K on it. Good stuff.
