Bad weekend on the wrench... explorer/kaw. help...

    OK,
So, my '93 explorer's driver side door hinges are shot, when I goto close the door, I have to lift up on the thing to get it to close. looking at the hinge, there's a little piece of (!@#$%^&*ing) plastic bushing that has worn out on both upper and lower hinges.
SO, I goto take the (!@#$%^&*ing) thing off, and they have 3 bolts ...
    (wait for it ...)

and there's a (!@#$%^&*ing) RIVET, with a head the size ofa quarter...

So, if I do drill it out, pound it out or whatever, how would I get the junkyard ones back on ??

Then if that weren't bad enough,
taking the front tire off on my kawie, ZRX1200, the right side is a 22MM allen, the left 17MM
    ARRG...
so I cobble together some bolts for $5 (the snap-on 22MM is a $40 purchase) but cannot get the (!@#$%^&*ing) thing off, it's tighter than a ... well, you know.

anyway, sorry for the rant, but if anyone has an idea or two, that would be great.

Pull pins if possible. Use heat on the nut to get off.

the hinge pins u mean, right ?

y, they're not designed to come out either, flanges on both sides

Right now the door is completely unbolted, jus kind of set back on... I should put a $5 in the drivers side seat, lock all the door and wait for someone to try to take it...

... better yet, leave the keys in the thing and hope someone does take it

put new hinge pins kits in. they come with bushings and pins. you can buy them from any ford dealer. they are like 5 bucks each. and no need to unbolt the hinges.
it's almost allstock! except the wheels.

Haven't done your particular rig, but typically there is enough room to get at the pins with a sawzall...just cut em in half and drive out both ends...so much for the flanges (a long reg screwdriver works good to drive into the cut and spread them so you can get ahold of em at the top and work em out). If space is too tight for the saw, a short hacksaw blade on a handle works too. Many auto parts stores/Sears, etc sell these. Works, just more muscle involved. Spare hands and support for the door will be a good thing here too, btw.
