Narrow band wiring question

The guage only has one wire but the o2 sensor has 3 wires, 2 white and 1 blue?

The black wire is the signal wire.

Yes, the black wire should be the signal wire. You can test this by hooking up a volt meter to that wire and watch the voltage sweep while the car is running...

FYI it is just going to be a dancing light show and not accurate like a wideband...

No, there are 3 wire heated o2's as well. 4 wire o2's just have a dedicated ground for the o2 sensor.
