    351...

what are differences in 351 engines... I know about block thickness and roller cam or not what I mean is... what 351's have best parts... if I could get a lightning engine is it really worth it?

Im not looking for big power right now. I just want a good strong street engine stock.... I was looking at getting a 93 351 out of a e-150... but then I found a first gen lightning engine for 100 dollars more....

351w can handle more power out of the box (the blocks are stronger) . other then that its the same thing as a 5.0

How complete is the motor you are looking at?

The lightning motor only uses a different cam, gt40 heads, gt40 intake.

The block, pistons, rods, and crank are all the same between lightnings and regular truck f-150's

My lightning has a 351 from a van, I actually used the roller cam that was already in it too.

So if the lightning motor you are looking at is only a shortblock, then buy the regular 351
