    cutoffs: electric vs. manual

i'm looking at getting these, and want to be able to operate them in the car. i.e. manual by cable, or electric by switch. my question is has anyone used either or here and have opinions on how they worked for them, and the brand they went with. i've heard of reliability issues with electric setups, where they often fail either to open, or close.

I have the these on the 69 and they work great. No issues with them at all.

I heard that the cable style are more likely to rust, and then get stuck.

There are lots of companies that make electric cutouts. If I had a boat load of money I'd pick up a slide style cutout, but a butterfly valve is the most popular design. They probably weight more as a downside though.

Here are some companies to start your research.
Red 1982 Trans Am MSE Hooker 1 5/8 primaries, 3 inches back, 3:73s, Red 1990 Formula, ZZ4 motor, Black 1991 GTA, 3" Flowmaster Catback, Black 2002 WS6 Bone Stock, All cars are in Milwaukee, and mine's in storage
