    90mm Mass Air - foxbody

how do i put a 90mm lightning mass air meter on my 1990 5.0?

i know i need the mass air off a lightning for 42# injs.

    a 6 pin-4 pin harness

and a 4 bolt flange for the clamp on air filter

    but...

where is the best place to buy these things?

does anyone sell it in a kit?

do i have to have my car tuned or can i just bolt it on?

    thanks, Dan

You might be able to get everything from brothers performance, but I'm not sure.

If you are going to 42's, why wouldn't you get it tuned?

i have 42# injs. and a 76mm C&L now and the car runs fine with stock tune!

I was planning on getting it tunned if i switch to the 90mm, but was wondering if it would work for a while un-tuned?

I don't know if i should be messing with stuff the car works good now?

      thanks

The car would need to be tuned.

The transfer table between a 42lb maf and the stock lighting maf are different. The car would actually go lean on the higher rpms.

It's a easy change to make in the tune to correct for which maf sensor you would be running.
