    MAF transfer function

If I am going to be tuning with a tweecer. Does it really matter what calibration the MAFS has? Can't you adjust the transfer function anyways in the ECM?

I'm just curious because I'm buying bigger injectors and if I don't need the MAFS then why spend the money on one?

You can change the size of injectors without changing the MAF with the tweecer.

Yes but if you need big injectors , more then likely you are making more then enough power to peg the factory mass air.

And EFI can correct me if I am Wrong. It is harder to tune with a big transition like 24#ers to 60#ers with out calibrating the MASS AIR. But like 42# TO 60# is fairly smooth.
It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word.

Damn, I was hoping to use my C&L 73mm calibrated for 19 lbs'ers on 55 lbers lol.

You could, but like LES said, if you need 55lb injectors you're probably going to peg that meter by 4500.

                  What's the combo you're tuning?

                  edit; I think I have either a 30lb or a 42lb calibration tube for a C&L 73mm, I'll try to find it.

I will probably be lucky to make more than 400 at the crank. It just so happens that I can get some used 55 lbers for a good price, and that leaves enough head room to try E85. Do you think I would still peg it? Getting a different MAF isn't a big deal, but I was confused on where I would find one calibrated for 55'ers.

I had a huffer on mine with a stock MAF and 42's, and my MAF was always getting pegged. It was a tuning nightmare.

If you decide to change your MAF, you will have to manually input your transfer information into the tweecer. If you go to the tweecer's yahoo group there is a ton of information, including MAF transfer information there.
