Problems with fenders and gt nose lining up!

I have a 89 GT convertible that was hit in the front when i bought it. I am wondering if anyone has had problems with with the fenders and front nose lining up. I had a front nose from a 93 in the shop and 88 fenders that were with the car. but the hood overlaps the nose about 1/4", I have the fenders lined up with the hood perfect. Is it true that the nose is different on the 90-93. They tell me the fenders are different on the 90 and newer stangs.

<-- that is talking to the car you can fill in the blanks!

What do you mean by the nose? If you mean the whole front clip then yes. Those 88 fenders have smaller openings.90 up are larger. I dont think thats your problem. I think you might want to look at the radiator support and things of that nature that take the brunt of a hit.

You should be forewarned. No body panel on mustang will ever line up very good. Especially if it is not all the original parts that came on the car.

Figured it out! After a few beers ripping off the front clip 3 times it turned out to be the hood latch was off 1/4" the header panel bolt under the hood was missing and a bolt missing from the upper fender to the header panel. 8 hours later and a few beers everything is lining up!
