I found a nice crack in my h-pipe when I took it off this weekend. I need a replacement and trying to decide between a X or H. What's prefered and why?

I like the sound of an H-pipe over an X-pipe...but when it comes down to it...it's personal preference. If you want something pretty quiet, look into the o-pipe. NAPA carries them right next to their flux capacitor section.

X pipes sound good to me, but you could certainly get your H pipe repaired. Get a quote first; make sure it won't cost more than the new X pipe. I would think most reputable shops would do it for $30 or less.
