2003 Explorer question

Dealer wants 1150 dollars to take the dash out and replace the actuator that controls the heat.

Extended warranty went out 75,000 and car has 75,547 on it now. Bought new at dealer and always dealer serviced according to the maintenance schedule including new tires from the dealer.

Sounds like I'm getting screwed here. Should I shop for better price?

Ray shoot me a pm I can do it some weekend for alot less.

Also inclued the part # from ford for what is needed in the pm. I can get the part from ford for about half what they are charging you.

im showing 8.8 hours labor to r.r a dash so that sounds about right

Ford agreed to cover all but 200 bucks of the bill. So we saved 850 or so.
