Anybody know what could be wrong?

ok, well i just finished my stock to cobra intake manifold swap, and have run into alot of new problems, i also replaced my brake pads.

Well, when i pump the brakes now, its like all air, you can hear it, and the brakes barely work..
Also, the motor seems to be running VERY hot, after like 20 min. its extremely hot, if you open the hood the heat just comes out at you..
And after installing the new intake, my exhaust has ALOT of back pressure, and when i let off the gas at high rpms, it starts to cackle and stuff really bad, like an exhaust leak, that was not there before the intake swap... this stuff is pretty hard to explain, sorry, ANY help would be appreciated...

    Thanks TCS!

Bleed the brakes. Did you fuck up the thermostat when changing intakes? I dunno about the exhaust shit.
    Not at the table, Carlos.

did you top of the block with coolant before you put the thermo back in. some times you run em dry and the therm doesn't open like it should. are you sure you didn't block any coolant passages for the intake. It does happen. as far as brakes bleed the shit out of them. and make sure they are moving

did you install new rotors or get them turned, sometimes just pad slaping rotors will cause lack of braking, or like other said bleed the fuck out of them

if you didnt crack the system you shouldnt need to bleed the brakes. If you opened the system then bleed them.

Are your coolant passages all free and clear?

            Odd, something doesn't sound right.

You didn't run the egr coolant line to the cobra intake did you??

If you did do not run it anymore, it is injecting antifreeze directly into the intake.

sounds like you have a major vacuum leak. that would lead to poor braking and the cackling in the exhaust.
about the overheating, sounds like you did something wrong. did you install the thermostat backwards?
