    Supercharger and removing the A/C

I have removed the A/C from my 87 GT and used a March A/C delete kit to do the belt routing. I have come to not like how this works because of belt / tensioner pulley alignment issues. So, I am looking at putting back on the A/C bracket and getting an idler pulley to go in place of the A/C compressor. I know UPR makes one but are there any other places out there that make them or is there something better I should try.

I did try running a shorter belt with the cobra water pump pulley and bigger PS pulley but could never get enough clearance between the water pump pulley and the tensioner.

    Any ideas?

I have the trick flow a/c delete which i believe is similar to your setup. I changed to a ribbed pulley to help with belt tracking. It seems/seemed to work really well.

Tim didn't you have a UPR A/C delete before your current setup? I thought you did when I say your car this summer. The problem with the UPR one is I heard the bearings suck in them and since its UPR they probably just copied someone else's design and had the chinese make it.

Where did you get a grooved pulled for the tensioner? I forgot about that being an option but I still just don't like how it looks. I have read that if redrill the pilot hole on the vortech bracket 1/4" to the right it will provide enough clearance to run the FMS A/C delete bracket. Maybe I will try that if I can find another vortech bracket.
