    NEW HITECH GRIPERATOR PULLEYS/ SERVICE

Just to let all you supercharged fans out there know, hitech has the ability to upgrade your stock pullies to "griperator"...... and you ask your self, what is the griperator system??? well let me show you....

This is your basic stock pulley:[IMG][/IMG]

We take your pulley or a new pulley that we can supply to your size/needs and we precision machine griperator signature grooves to improve the gripping force on your belt...

    newly machined pulley:[IMG][/IMG]
    [IMG][/IMG]

the machined groves actually grip in to the belt, instead of just ridding on the belt... The life expectancy of belts will be decreased some due to the added grip!!!!

    machining of your pulley $45.00

If we supply the pulley, it will be the cost of the pulley, plus the machining!!

Chris, How do these stack up against the 03/04 cobra ones that use the Richard Racing non-slip design?

Yes, this is a serious question.

it doesnt weaken the integrity of the pulley the machining only extends into the ribs....

VM: verry similar, but alot cheaper if we use a supplied pulley

As much as 'adding grip' I think the grooves give a bit of an outlet for air that gets trapped under the belt, which is a real cause of slip. Drill some holes through the grooves and they'll work even better...

we looked into doint that dan but the pulleys would defiently have some integrity issues and the likely hood of cracking would be much greater, so we opted out of doing that, we also looked at other people doing this most arent doing that also..

Hmmm, I was doing that on the pullies for my SQ-trimmed 94 8 years ago!!! I logged many miles on them with no problems, and mine weren't so "precise".

Hmm, seems like if it did slip it could really damage the belt though? Looks well done though for 45 bucks.

Actualy the groves along the side of the pully leave plenty of area for any air to escape, as the belt does not seel into the deep groves along the side.

But if your belt is slipping, your supercharger isnt doing any good anyways.
