Jumpy oil pressure is now no oil pressure

Dan statements like this deserve someone stiring the pot. You are runing a 502 chevy with aluminum heads that would cost a few thousand dollers to replace. I would not run any motor that had a oil psi issue, even if I suspected just a electrical gremlin, much less a moderate to high hp engine before I was positive it was not a connection. It is not worth the risk . Not trying to pick on you but read the statment above. It makes you look bad in my opinion.

I try not to be neg to anybody and would rather get along, but there has been a few neg posts in the past w nothing positive to say that have started to bug me a little, so I just decided to say some thing. I do agree that this response to this one post does look bad on the out side but u know your other posts in the pas t word my combo. I dont want any bad blood between any body and hope u understand my thoughts and to please be a little more considerate in the future. I do know that I have oil pressure even from what the guage was doing and it did just turn out to be a loose connection.

I will be at the show friday and saturday. Have a big day planed friday with the little guy. He is all hyped up because it is just the boys. He gets to ride in the front of the car. I will be down, and able to stay out late.

Check your clearence between pickup and pan bottom if too close that can effect the flow. After a year or so there will be some kind of build up maybe not alot but if your clearence is too close a couple thousants could make a differeance. I know some people who have the pickup too close and were actually sucking the stock pan closer to the pickup key word stock

Realize what you are saying before you give someone advice, do you know how much a couple thousandth's is? A sheet of notebook paper is .004" thick, and considering the typical method of using a piece of clay to check the distance, you'll never notice a couple thousandths. I'm not trying to be critical here, but when you exaggerate on topics like that to someone who is asking the question, they might take it too seriously and get worried over nothing.
