    Window problem

My drivers side window is not going up. It was working fine yesterday and now it won't go up. I don't believe it is a fuse problem because the rest of the windows are all working. Any suggestions on what might be wrong? I am at work currently, so I don't have the tools to test the switch. This is on my 02 GT.

I've had that problem and i found that the window gets off the track i searched different forums and found that if you hold the up button and give the door a fairly hard pound right above the speaker it will go up - it worked for me hopefully it works for you too

That did not work. I'll have to check the wiring when I get home. Thanks.

Try hitting the up button and opening and shutting the door. I've seen that before too..

Mine did the same thing. I took the skin off and loostened the 3 screws that hold the motor to the door. For some reason that worked. I hit the up button and it went. I retightened the screws and haven't had a problem since. It was binding up somehow.

I tested the switch and the harness closest to the motor and I have power so it doesn't seem to be a switch. This makes sense because I can hear a click when I push on the switch to have the window to go up or down. I tried loosening the screws on the motor and hitting the door but neither has worked. I am assuming I am going to have to remove the motor and regulator. Anyone have a trick on removing this or a link that can tell me how to do it so I don't mess up anything else.

HOLD the UP button and slam the door. Try this 5 times in a row, if that doesn't fix it, you will need to remove the panel...

It's something I've seen on '99+ cars MANY times, it has NEVER not worked (for me) if you do it 5 SEPERATE times in a row.

I had the same problem with my 89. New motor was needed in the tune of $80

Window's stuck down again. The "hold the switch and slam the door" option isn't working. Taking the skin off again tonight.

The window is acting up again. How hard is it to change out the motor.

Can you convert it to a manual window crank perhaps? Sounds like this is a problem that just plagues those cars.

one of my cars does this, the passenger window and the rear quarter windows no longer work, just the driver

oddly enough, they all stopped working at the same time. somtimes they will budge if you hit the switch but it is rare. i wish i could convert them to manual, but that isn't an option for this car.

                              sounds like a window regulator.
