    Greetings . . . and T5 Rebuild questions

Greetings all. I just found this club tonight. I live in Woodbury.

You don't see a lot of Mustangs in MN so I was surprised to finally find a club.

My T5 is starting to act up . . . harder to shift, noisy in nuetral until you engage clutch . . . I was hoping to find some place to rebuild it. I called around locally and the best price I found was about $900 for a cash and carry swap. I did all the mods in my signature myself (or with help of friends) so swaping out a T5 is really no big deal. I just hate to spend $900 for a rebuild when I can buy a new one for $1200 from Texas Mustangs or Mustang Parts Specialties.

I hang around quite a bit at the 1982-1993 Mustang GT Registry Message Board and a bunch of the guys have said they had a local shop or found some tranmission guy who does work on the side to rebuild one for $300-$400. Don't really know what to expect to pay, but $900 seemed a bit high for something that is $1200 new. Can anybody recommend a local shop or someone who does 'em on the side?

    Thanks in advance,

    Carl
