Looks good. Very good. If i gave you dimensions, could you fab up a water tank for my lightning? Im sure many other lightning owners would be quite interested as well.
I send myself PM's so I roll with a full inbox! Sweet35th style!

My biggest problem is time - each part I make takes weeks of prep and work to make it fit and perform the way it should. I enjoy making parts but the way I do it I could never actually make a living! Who would pay for 40 hours of labor for a tensioner! Or 100 hours of work for a water tank!!!!

If you have dimensions there are lots of local fabrication shops that can do the work. The hard part is making sure your dimensions are accurate and your design works the way you really intended. Fabrication is the easy part!

The beauty of owning a Lightning is that anything fits....All I need would be a box made just like that....Probably in the range of 32x24x24 (just numbers out my ass) No real fabrication.. Cut the pieces, put them together, and install the filler, and bulk head fittings.

Nice work... That tensioner is pretty slick... I'm tweaking an Alt bracket now on my ride to relocate it due to an electric water pump. Too bad when it is all done probably one out of 1000 people will actually notice... how long you got into your tensioner? Or shouldn't I ask? LOL

Glad to see I'm not the only one slaving away on their ride, although I hope you have nice garage to work in rather then myself with the car under cover and pull rear axles and gas tanks in the snow LOL. At least my motor and all that is inside the garage.

Poked around your page a bit... NICE! Lots of good info in the articles as well. The drivetrain loss article was a great collection of data wrap into one with some new info.

Try Discount Steel in Minneapolis. They have a full fab shop and are pretty reasonable. I buy most of my metal from them although I do the fab work myself. Discount Steel even has a laser cutting system that can scribe/cut almost anything!

Thanks for the compliments! I probably have 20 hours of actual work into the tensioner system. That doesn't count the hours of thinking about it while I should have been doing something else! I try to not count the time, if I did my car would be one of the most expensive cars in the country - LOL!

Glad you liked the site. I never post as much as I want but I try to keep the major updates on the site.
