oil pressure guage & coolant gauge issue...

Got to questions.

#1 the oil pressure gauge don't work at all. The guy said oh its un hooked. After looking at the car today, it looks to be all hooked up and all, but just not working. I assume bad Oil sending unit?

#2. The coolant gauge after having the car idle for a bit then went for a 5 min cruise, the coolant gauge was in the red. The factory ecltric fan looks like it wasn't turning on. Thier is a zip tie holding the wireharness into the fan, maybe a bad harness or bad fan?

Also all the fuses looked good.

if the fan is not turning it could be the connection at the fan(they have a tendency to melt) or the ccrm module(it is on the black overflow bracket)

The fans have been known to fail if the recall from Ford has been performed

see lilstang you should have never bought an sn95.

to check the oil pressure sensor touch the connector to ground and have someone watch the gauge. if the gauge reads max pressure, replace the sending unit.

MNstang, yeah I know but I've allways wanted a SN95 with the 5.0 but looks like once again the fox's out do then sn95's one of them will be sold this summer!

Buying an Sn95 when you already had a fox and a very limited budget was an extremely bad choice. Not that I dont think theres anything wrong with them....... :/

check to make sure your thermostat isnt stuck closed, that would cause over heating, and make sure your radiator is clean on the outside

true. the radaitor looks great. He replaced it last summer. The thermostat im not sure on, but will put a new one no problem.

Im guessing the harness is shot. Mine did the same thing and I replaced the TS and it still did it let it idle till hot the pulled the harness from side to side and it would turn on then id let go and it would shut off. you can try that and see if it will turn on.

I have a sn95 and a fox Have to say there is something about the fox, but I like driving my car better. It is way more civil
