you'll get a kick out of this, had it in 3 time with a check engine.

*First time -they said that nothing was wrong and just cleared the code (came back on pulling out of the dealer.

*Second time -told us that it needed plugs, wires, cap and rotor (yeah I hope you caught that)

*Third time -(this time) intake gasket

truck has a extended warranty on it (good thing)

With the addition of the 2% Bio (it having higher lubricity rateing than petro diesel) it should alleviate the lubricity issues on the ULS diesel.

I wonder if the influx of pumps on those vehicle could have more to do with weather than ULS diesel. Number 1 Fuel that is mixed as a winter blends has a lower lubricating factor compared to #2.

It could also be said that the 2% Bio is causing it because of the caustic nature it has on some rubbers?

But IMO that would just be crying wolf.

yeah. only on the older cars though. and they all need $3-5,000 pumps.

Certain Mazda's are the same way, as soon as it gets cold outside the intakes start to leak like a son of a bitch.

Our Chevy Van is in the shop for an intake leak. I guess they happen more frequently with a cold snap.
