    E-cam help

Has any one here ever had a problem installing an e-cam with 1.7 on a factory head. Do I need different length push rod or will the stock ones work?

    Thanks

not an e-cam, but a similar, slightly larger cam with 1.7s and stock heads. done it on a couple cars with stock pushrods and no problems.

Stock push rods will work but I believe the stock valve springs will bind. E-cam has a .498 lift with 1.6s and .529 lift with 1.7s. I think the stock valve springs are good to .505 . Always check piston to valve clearance.

You wouldn't change your pushrods to make up for the increased lift, you either notch your pistons or run 1.6 rockers.

            ^^I have his old e-cam
