tips/secrets to installed junkyard motors

Anything you guys do special before firing it? Any cleaners you run through it?

Just wondering, I am picking up a motor to put into my granny getter that recently lost its magic 'go' powder.

I was thinking run some cheap oil thru it with some mmo to get the crud out from sitting then run amsoil in it.

put whatever your going to run in it ,im assuming your talking about the pt right,well iwould put plain old oil in it

Yeah its the PT. I think I am picking up the motor on tuesday since they are not open on weekends
