    Replacing camaro motor?

Well I am by no means a chebby fan, but someone asked me to help them to get their mullet mobile running.

From what I know its a '92 with a 5 speed and 305, he said the motor is done and left it at that, said needs a new motor.

He has 1200$ to work with to get it running again, he said if the parts cost 600$ I get 600$, if it costs 900$ for parts, I get 300$, get it?

I haven't seen the car for myself yet, and from what I have seen on car-part.com a motor for the mullet mobile is about 700$.

The tpi 305's are 350$ from french lake, I am guessing they have a differant induction system on them? Part of me wants to do it to say I done it, and part of me wants to say no...I got all the tools I'd need...
    No sig for you.

The question is will the tpi motor, or, loing block, work in a mpi car? I am thinking the intake mani will need to be moved over...

TPI motor with the TBI manifold should work fine. BTW swapping third gen Camaro motors, is very easy. If you end up doing this, I would be interested in the TPI setup.

Yea, you could recover almost all costs if not all of the new motor by selling the TPI setup

                  350 no question about it. I bought one w/ 60K for $400.

I don't know what else to say. It ain't gonna go too fast for $1200.

He isn't after fast, he needs to get it running, it was his daily driver.

I haven't called FL to see what the motors are etc. Still debating if I want to do it, I got a lot of shit on my plate right now, have to buy a new car and deal with work and insurance.
