What kind of timing retard system our u using....Any body used a controller for a big shot.....

Msd multi step retard. if you buy a good kit( NOS is not a good brand out dated) you don't need a ton of timing taken out. Look into Zex , NX or the Wilson manifold brand. I have never used a controller. they are good if you have traction issues for delaying the "hit"

I loosen up the bolt that holds the distributor down and spin it.
Actually, I don't retard any timing. Just run good gas. I tried retarding the timing but with my Hi-tech tune it didn't like it when I turned the distributor. 
8.54 @ 159 mph on a 275 drag radial
5.43 @ 127 mph to the 1/8
8.91 @ 153 in True Street legal trim
Best 60' at Top End Dragways 1.22 on 275's
