    C&L 76 with tube vs. Pro-M 75

I am having trouble on deciding which mass air meter i should get. I kind of like the C&L setup, since it comes with a tube going to the throttle body which is the exact same size as the meter. I have heard good and bad about both meters. I would like if you could shed some information on the two meters, and which would benefit my combo the most. I know that mnstang uses the C&L and has informed me that he is very happy with his meter.
    Thanks,
    Tim

I beleave the C&L would be the cheeper to buy & recal. but I don't know how good they are, one thing you could considder is vortech puts there name on them......... As far as the pro-m goes, thats what I have and I like it. And I would buy one again.

also C&l use the stock maf sensor, it just goes in one of there housings, im guessing you car has a few miles on it and well maf's can go out when they get old, so the pro-m with a all new everything, also if you have a cold air intake (wich you should) put a polished pro-m in there and it looks bad ass, way better than the drab alum color the C&L's are, also the abliity to change the injector size is nice on the C&L's but honselty the only time your gona change it is when you get a blower or something of that sense, and recals arnt much so you tack another 100 bucks onto your blower install, not a big deal imho, well good luck, id stick with the pro-m

You could take the time to polish the C&L piping if you wanted to. Just like the way people do with their intakes...
And it does have that nice little nitrous boss already on the pipe ready for a fitting.

i am not sure what i am going to do, i already have the fenderwall cold air kit. it is a piece of shit because it doesn't fit very well. would you want a tube that is the same size as the meter going to the throttle body? i have a 70mm throttle body right now and the cold air tube is smaller then that. so it would be restricting air right?

I honestly think the c&l intlet tubes look out of place on post cars unless your running a cone filter in the engine bay wich would be stupid on a street car.

I think most of those CAI kits are 65mm, which is not going to restrict air. Cause If you had a 65 you'd see no power loss or gain. I can see how it might be a pain to match it up to a 70 though.

make sense? I'm hung over so probably not

i think the c&l tubes look fine, alot better than the stock rubber hoses, and it looks "in place" in the engine compartment, imo. and, my 76mm intake tube matches fine with my 70mm TB.
and the nitrous boss would be nice if you are going to spray.

I have a MAC fenderwall cold air kit and i was wondering if i could reuse the part of the kit that bolts to the fenderwall and just use the new meter and tube from the c&l? would they match up alighnment wise or should i just figure something else out?

the c&l is designed for the maf housing to end up in the same location as one with a stock intake tube, and the inlet of the maf is the same diameter, so your mac will bolt onto it the same.
