    S/C question.

ok As most know if yuou have a Root's style Super charger an easy way to boost power is to sometimes get a diffrent pulley.

But what if you dont have a roots style? howmdo you boost power>?

Same way , use a smaller pulley.
Roots or centrifical produce more boost if you run a smaller pulley.

pulley or power pipe is good for a pound or two as well

Only problem with a smaller pulley is heat generation. You can gain power if you cool the air down also. As an example. With the 89-93 SC's you can get a pretty good power increase with a 5% overdrive pulley. However if you go to a 10% pulley you generate so much heat that the knock sensor starts to pull timing after 3000 RPM. And if your wondering about temps, stock pulley, before the aftercooler, ACT @ 5000 RPM is 400F +.

however, centrifugal blowers have far less heat generation as a roots style blower.

Even less heat if your running a big 3 core air to air intercooler.

can you put an intercooler on a roots blower?

Yes, in fact they are a must for roots blowers. Except Kenne bell I think they have one you don't need one for but I am not sure. Roushy would know though he has done some homework on the kenne bell

They are a must if you are planning to run 15 PSI + on a kenne bell.
Shit ... !!! im giving away my secrets.
I beleive that you can run a kenne bell (6 PSI) without an intercooler but if you step up to the 9 PSI then they recommend one.
Any above that then your nuts not to run one IMO.

thread hijack- so im wondering, to me it seems centrifugal blowers are the better way to go due to there max power and also there ease of intercooling (and thoe this is a dumb reason-they look way better), question here is why has there never been a factory auto with one of these?(maybe there has and im forgetting, if so make it be known to me) Is it mostly due to price per unit and the up keep involved?, or is there other reasons im not aware of, just something iv always wonderd
