looking for a mechanic 15hr starting

I hope this is alright for in here. I work at Suburban Auto (suburban, green and white, and diamond cab). We are looking for a mechanic for an 8 to 4:30 job located in St. Paul midway area. Massive 100 car garage with 9 hoists. Mechanic would have his own dedicated hoist and ford parts benefis. I am the shop Manager so if you may be interested hit me up. 651-642-9191. That is the shop number. Here, I go by Ty. Starting pay is 15 an hour. No benefits available at this time. I am looking to start someone in two weeks or less. You would be working strictly on Ford Crown Vics with the 4.6 motor. Most of the work is suspension and drivetrain related with some other stuff here and there.

Another opening is for an assistant to me where I would look for long term employment to take over the shop management position of mine. this is a family company and we are all about keeping people long term to promote from within only. Some companies say that but we are legit in meaning it. that job starts from 8-10 an hour pending credentials.

Even if I lived closer, I couldn't afford to work for that little. Sorry.

    Especially with no bennies........................

That pay is terrible! What you really want is a time machine. That way you can go back and get a negro from the days prior to Lincoln's release of the slaves!

        15/hr with no bennies?

you will be hard pressed to find someone who is willing to work for that.
if you do they probably won't be around for very long.

if you are such a family run business, it must really suck that your family doesn't have bennies also

You can make more than that at home depot and not need tools or bandaids!

THUS the reason it says starting pay. If someone has a lot of experience it would be different. majority of our guys are making more than that because of there experience.

Its nice to see that when someone comes in an says, hey I have a job opening to work on crown vics only all day 8-430 and get a insane hook up on almost any ford part imaginable, that people want to start immediately slamming it and the company.

I know plenty of people who are wanting to work and will work for less than that amount. I have to reserve the personal comments due to my status at the company. I just figured there may be a chance there is a die hard ford guy who would love the chance to just work on them all day. Figuring they probably will have more ford experience so I would probably end up having to pay more. Sorry if I am stepping on toes though.

As far as the benefits goes. The place is run old school. IF you want benefits, you negotiate a higher pay to cover it. until that changes. thats how it is.

As far as home depot paying more? Maybe if you are a manager there.

i don't think anyone is ripping the company or you.

just kind of wierd that you are expecting to get a highly trained person to work for that amount and condition.

                  nice to dream though.

well if its mon-fri only and if he wants long term with future benefits then it wouldn't be so bad.

guys. You're all looking at it the wrong way. Here's a guy who has a business. He needs help. He posts for help and provides details. It's a free market. If you are qualified and looking, perhaps this works for you. If not, don't flame the guy. I see nothing wrong with posting - it's no different than Ebay, by the way. Someone posts to sell something for a particular value. If a buyer agrees, it's a deal.
