    Used injectors

I bought a set of 30lb FMS injectors off a guy on the corral awhile ago and am getting ready to use them. He said their good but I've heard that before... Should I have them checked, flowed etc etc. before using? If so can anyone recommend a shop and the costs of doing this? I wish I would have just spent the extra money for new ones and piece of mind.

Wow I'm not a noob in my avatar anymore!

We have never had a Ford injector go bad. I would put them in and run them. The cost to flow the injectors will probably be as much as you paid for them
If you want to call tpis their number is:952-448-5330

I had mine flowed. I have the sheet somewhere, and yes, it cost around half what a new set cost but I did find they weren't all flowing the same when I had mine done. Also, I did have TPIS do mine. Nick

I had a set of used 30lb fords. Funny how when I went to start the car, one was stuck open. It resulted in a fire and Mustangmatt running around screaming like a girl. I actually witnesed spiral running to

Get them checked. It is cheap insurance. TPIS has flow tested ones in stock, but why buy them Just call them and ask how much to test all 8.

So did the injector start working or did you get new ones. I don't know these guys but I can imagine the panic.

Dont buy used injectors or I will hit you!

Or have them flowed, I dont think TPIS actually charges that much for it.

Yes Spiral actually did run, thanks again for the tub of water that you poured on me

Call them up, you will have better than new injectors that will be balanced and matched...

Yeah the asshole had high octane fuel in it too, I was burning while trying to out the fire with PBR, the flames just kept coming back, slowwwww burn... We had JUST finished putting everything back together in a engine bay that was JUST painted

But all is well just a few brown spots that rubbed out and some lost hair

my uncle had a 12,000 motor built from them and first swapped blocks from what he brought in,then took 3 4 months longer than supposed to,then when he got motor back he installed it,lasted for about 1 month and the rings had so much blowby it was retarted, now we reinstalled again after they rebuilt it or whatever they did now the rearmain seal is pouring out oil,12,000 is way to much for this kinda headach thats why they suck ass

Ford hasnt really had many injector problems that I have seen. But I have seen them stuck open. I would say 90% of the injector failures I have seen, the injector was stuck open

If an injector sticks open it's probably because there some $hit getting to it not allowing it to close. Sand, or something.
