Well, today i heard a large whack noise... some cab driver doored the shit outta my car and chipped off a 1/2 inch section of paint all the way to the metal. Fucker knew what he did and drove off from the gas station right away.. i was about 90ft away heading into the store and didnt catch anything.. Didnt see it but i know that sound.... >:| All i know it was a rainbow taxi and the guys name was probably mohammed...

I'd of chased him down except i was already cutting it close for showing up to work...

Anyhow any recomendations? what can i expect to pay?

You did get the hacks insurance info right? Then why care what it will cost him, take it to Raymond autobody in St. Paul and get it fixed and send his insurance the bill.

well... i didnt exaclty get the guy doing it... I heard it... i knew in the back of my mind it was the cab driver and when i got to my car after i paid for my gas i knew it.

Yeah you could try calling the company and furiously explain how much you use their taxi service and say you saw him do it...might be worth a shot.

I would ask to see the video from the gas station and then track him down....especially if he took the paint off of your new car.

Then call the company and force them to pay or else its you vs. them in small claims court.

I don't know, if this happened to me and I had some time, I would try it.

*sigh* Fucking kicking myself right now. I watched the guy pull up.. I noticed he was kinda close.. I get out.... and im walking in the store.. and i hear it... and i even say to myself... Boy i hope that wasnt my car.... sure as shit i checked the door when i came out.... the cab driver was just pulling out of the lot .... Grrrrrrrrrrrr so damned frustrating... im told i'll probably have to have the whole door painted...

well to get it done right youll have to paint the door. and thatll run you a few hundered bucks.
or you could PDR the door and touch it up.
i might know some one to do it for ya.

lets see! R and I door around 1.5 hours, repair scratch 1.0.= 2.5 @ 50 bucks a hour = $125 paint and clear door assuming no blend time 3.0 @ 50 = $150. paint and materials $75 === $350 total
