First off I know custom grind is the best I am not going to go that route...just so you know, lol.
Here is the scenario: 331 stroker with 8.5:1 compression ratio that will have a medium level street head (either afr 165 or edelbrock performer rpm, nothing with a runner longer than 170). cobra intake or equivilent.
Now, the tricky part. I want to run this motor na for until mid to late summer, when I can afford to S/C the whole setup. I want a mild cam that keeps decent idle and engine vacuum, but will also work good when I add the boost. If there is a cam that would work mediocre NA, and better with boost that would be ok too. I don't know much about ford cam setups and what works so I'm looking to learn what products work best for this kind of setup. Just from hear-say i was guessing the e303 cam. However, I would like a bit of input on other brands like tfs, etc.
:EDIT just thought of this so feel free to yay or nay it. I could put in a stock 5.0 cam until further down the road when I have the blower, then change cams (I would really perfer to put the engine in the car and leave the cam in though)
I know this isn't the best way to approach it and most of you will want to say change cams when get the blower, or don't build the motor until you have the blower. But my stang needs a new motor by spring and I'm on a budget. Thanks for the input. (sorry for long post lol)
