    Biggest tires on fox body?

What are the biggest tires you can run on the front and back of a foxy body mustang without altering the wheel lips or any other part of the body?

    thanks

I have ran 255/60/15's up front and 275/50/15's with no problems.

i know of a buddy that ran 295's out back with no mods.

Depends on the wheel size (ie: height, width, and offset). Then it depends if your fox is a GT or LX... the ground effects will rub on some sizes. and finally it depends on your suspension setup. Once you have all that, you could probally get some pretty accurate numbers on here. But since you said you didn't want to 'alter' anything I am guessing you have a stock setup.

My 26x9.5's are about half an inch from rubbing while the car is straight. they rub when cornering. No quadshocks and they are on turbines.

I run my et streets (26x11.50-15) on a 15x8 4.5 wheel and it has no rubbing problems what so ever. So I guess the answer to your question is what wheels do you plan on running and if you have aftermarket upper/lower control arms which would warrent you to take off your quad shocks.

yeah i've seen 275 in the front too, 92mnstanger runs them, and i don't even think he rolled his fenders. i think he gets away with it because the aggressive alignment settings he has, lots of caster and negative camber.

in the rear it depends, coupes have the least amount of room, then verts, and hatch's have the most room. 26"x11.5"x17" works fine on my car with plenty of room to spare to the fender and the tailpipes.

i wouldn't see at all why a 295 wouldn't fit with a proper offset wheel.

Thats because I had lowering springs in there when you were riding in the car.

I put the stock springs back in and had no problems.

I currently do not have the car, waiting untill spring to sell the dart and I really want a hatch back fox body, but if the right deal comes along on tires, I want to snatch them up ahead of time. Not sure what rims to run. I am thinking about switching it to the five lug the winter after getting one and not sure if I should go 15's, 16's or 17's. I will be looking at all the Fox Body mustangs I can this summer while searching for a nice rust free four cylinder (will eventually be converted). Just trying to plan ahead as I am a bargain hunter
