vibration under harder than normal acceleration

there is a vibration coming from the tranny tunnel. my mechanic said that one of the motor mounts was looking worn (pass side if i remember correctly), would a worn mount be enough to cause a metallic sounding vibration?

Any rec's on motor mounts? car is street driven, so no hard ones.

Just thowing this out there, but it sounds like something I experience with longtube headers. If so then yes engine/tranny mount might allow enough movement for the exhaust to touch the frame. Eventually I will have good ol' mustang Matt hook me up with eurathane mounts. I don't think I spelled that right...

my long tubes hit my frame and it is annoying as hell, but i got used to it after a while. i think when i lifted the engine to put the lt's in i didn't get the mounts back exactly the way they came out.

you might want to try shifting the engine over slightly when you get your new mounts. hopefully i will be able to address my situation over the winter.
