    valve covers + CNC machine

If someone has access to a CNC router you should be able to make some pretty cool stuff. I wish i had one. anyways if you can make me a set of billet valve covers I will provide you with the Oh So expensive aluminum to make yourself a fancy and very unique set of your own.
These should make those cool fabricated covers look like the piece of tin that they were created from.

$400 would be dirt cheap... I think you would need to triple that figure....

        Billet covers are not cheap.

J-rod, I asked around, and to remove that amount of material would require some pretty crazy tooling, I'll keep working on him, we may be able to work a deal out where we just buy the inserts for the cutters... but if the cutter broke while doing it your talking $700 so there is som erisk for them taking on the project, even if we provided the inserts... and the alum... Id be happy to help design them using solid works or ProE, but as far as having a hook up on getting them machined I may not be able to, but like I said I'm working on it

I was actually thinking that for my car a two piece design would be nice. You would be able to cut the deep base from both sides. a top cap would be removable with seprate bolts. valvetrain adjustments and inspections would no longer be messy with 0w-30 oil.

i've thought of doing aluminum valvecovers and have access to a cnc. ls1 valve covers are about 1" tall so there wouldnt be too much waste...plus the coil packs could be moved for a clean look.

                          good luck with your project

Hamburger makes something like this for small block chevy's that dont have centerbolt valve covers, you could steal that design
