buff them with a buffer and buffing compound, and then put some wax on them. at least that's how i do plastic stuff.

Buffing them works great. Use a decent swirl mark remover, don't use a heavy duty cleaner, you don't need any too abrasive!

I don't have the part # handy but Permatex makes a product that is specifically designed for that. I think it might be a new part # but I'm not sure. If you want me to I can get you the permatex part # on Monday. Nick

Brasso brass polish, PlastiX, rubbing compound, etc all work pretty well.

However, the problem will come back in about 3 to 6 months.

It's not actually oxidation, it's crazing that causes them to yellow.

I was offering my tint customers a headlight restroration service. There wasn't very much interest in it from them (most of my customers are broke kids). However, the products came with a 2 year warranty against reyellowing.

I might have enough of my kit laying around to do a set if you're ever down this way.

Otherwise, call local detailing shops and ask if they offer headlight restroration.

Yep, that is what they look like. Man that is a diff. What causes it in the first place. This was a Cali car so I was thinking it had something to do with the sea?

the meguires clean plastic cleaner has worked great for me

also, if there is stuff on the inside i've tried "formula 420" which is available at most local head shops... seems to work wonders on things you can't reach the insides of to scrub.

buff and wax them over and over. Or... new one's make your car look much nicer, no matter how much you buff<><

Crazing happens from several different things.

UV damage, sand, salt, rocks, etc etc etc.

Buffing and stuff works temporarily, but it will come back. But it only takes 5 minutes every few months to make your headlights look better.

I'm still driving around with one good headlight and one super yellow one......LOL.
