Looks like I spun a bearing.

Called ford today and asked, they told me it had spun a bearing. I just sort of sat there and blinked a couple times.

Guess I'll be checking out my options in the next few days. They'l let me know on Monday if its warrentied.

    Any advice is definitely welcome.

What mods did you have done? If no n20/blower or internal mods, I don't see why it wouldn't be underwarranty

Kar Kraft has both exploder or gt engines new. Good buys.

Look under "New Engines" and "Long Blocks". Easy install.

Or get the base GT forged shortblock from VT Engines. $2495, but more work.

MMR also has a good rep. $2199, same amount of work as VT to get running.

There was this noise I heard when I let off around 30 mph........knock maybe?

I don't recall any squeeling from the engine.....cept a couple miles before it died but that wasn't really squeeling.

I don't know your mods, but Ford should warranty it. Modulars seems to have problems with spun bearings. Hence I run Mobil 1 5w-30 just from what I've read on other boards as having the least problems.

an engine with a slight knock (dont know if yours was slight or not) will typically only do it with a load and not on decel

You should have no problem getting a warrany on that. You have nothing done to the car to warrant such denial of warranty. If they do, I would fight that tooth and nail. You would be totally legitamate for doing it.

Plus they never wear out.

                    I disagree.

Did you clear the Diablo thing before you brought it in?

Even if you do they can still see it's been tampered with.

No I didn't clear my diablo tune. In fact I was told to leave it in

Does that really make too much of a difference?
