As far as I know there is only a few shops, DG motors has the tourqe plates for the mod cars, also I think Napa in SLP will do it also but I think they borrow DG's plates, I know R&R will do it but last I heard they didn't have the plates and said if you could get your hands on them they would be willing to do it, might be worth checking if they have them now thoe, this was over a year ago.
Bill, thanks for the lead. Does anyone have any experience with DG Motors they can share?
You know to be honest I'v heard some bad things about them, but in this game we all know nothing is 100% true, its all been more along the line of long blocks they have done not making good power (IE bad choice in parts combo's/and or tuning) but on the other hand John Garner has had alot of work done by them, they have the plates because they did the motor in the blown Navi he had. If it were me I would maybe just try and rent the plates from them if it tunrs out they are the only ones that have them and just bring them to R&R, I just love dealing with those guys so much that I myself would not think twice about having them to the work even if it ends up costing a little bit more.
Thanks man..I like R&R too. I would hope they could just buy the damn plates if they don't have em. I just sent an email to Todd H to see who did the machine work on his block.
Thanks for the info everyone. I just picked up a teksid aluminum block, so I will drop it off at R&R when it shows up so they can hot tank it and check it out good. It'll be nice to drop 100lbs off this pig next year. Where can I get all the torque specs for these engines? Ron, you have em?
I have all my work done at DG Motors. I have not heard of any problems. I would like to hear the details of the "I heard about a problem" as I really doubt there is any substance to the claims...
They built my Mustang motor and the Modular for my Navigator. They have also built motors for most all of my close friends. I give DG Motors a bit thumbs up!
I don't have them anymore but I should be getting them this week for a pair of projects that are coming together. I'll pm you the critical one's when I get them.

You just get the block, or do you have some of the other parts from it too?
