Go to Turbomustangs and see what the guys are torquing your HG down to with studs.
Most go 10-15 ft lbs more on the top and bottom.
I used 9333s and went 3 steps until I was at 90 top and 80 bottom. I used arp bolts. The studs have more squeeze and require less torque than the bolts
I went drifting through the capitols of tin
where men cant walk or freely talk
and sons turn their fathers in
well im going to replace my head gasket and i have arp head studs. i forgot what they are to be torqued to?
thanks,
mike
I did 75 on the lower and 80 on the top. Also check the washers with the arp's THE DISHED SIDE OF THE WASHER MUST FACE UP, for proper specs. Also I have heard from many people who race that the arp's need to be re-toruqed at least 3 times b4 they will sit properly.
