Any hear of a side gear breaking in a detroit locker? I pulled my rear apart today (8.8) to put in 4.10s thinking it had a factory posi. It had a detroit and one of the side gears was cracked. weird. So now I had to use a factory posi bummer.

Those detroit lockers are normally pretty tough. At least your tires will last a little longer with the factory posi. Rearend should be a little quiter too.
