    Oil Pan Gasket

Since I have to motor out of the car, this is the perfect time to replace the oil pan gasket. This seems like a pretty straight forward job. Is there anything that I should take into consideration so there won't be a future leak?

Is there a series in which I should tighten the bolts?

I just use the one piece reusable gasket, and put some black silicone (dont goop it) in the corners where it meets the timing cover and in the back, clean, clean, and then clean the surfaces again to ensure a leak free seal.
