    Pro Charger ? NX ?

i have a P1SC and i want to upgrade to a D1SC. what do i have to do and how much? any procharger dealers around who can help?

87' gt, all stock (except for mac exhaust), 120,000 miles -- how much of a shot could a stock motor take. i don't plan on any upgrades (as i'm buying stuff for my 97' gt) except new plugs. i'm hoping to at least go with a 75 shot.

you can probably get away with a 100 shot for a while.

I guess the question is : "How much do you care that it runs in the morning?"

the 97 is getting the s/c. it's getting overhauled this winter (now looking at over 500rwhp if i step up to the D1SC). i figure if i'm going to pay 4 grand on a built motor, might as well up the boost. still collecting parts.

for my 87', i just picked up the NX kit. it's usually my daily driver, so i don't want to get too crazy with it. i just want to be sure that my fuel system is enough for whatever shot i go with (stock inj. and fuel pump).

100 shot on 190 pump wasnt working for me...I had to up it to a 255 pump. My pump may have been worn though. Will a 75 shot work with stock fuel components? only one way to find out.

Unless you upgraded your fuel line diameter, your pump must have been worn out, since maximum throughput on stock fuel lines is 150lph.

Edit: Before flaming me, keep in mind I am not using this as an argument against larger pumps. Even though a 155lph pump may be adequate because of the fuel line bottlenecks, pumps usually pump less over time and use, so it is not a bad idea to go bigger for longengevity. I use a 190lph pump myself.

When you go to the D1 on the '97, you should go to an 8-rib belt as well, it's a lot less headache, and for the pulley you're going to run to see over 500rwhp you'd be seeing belt slippage. Are you going to port/polish the heads and do cams, or get to 500+rwhp with all boost?

                      He's got my old heads
Port polish valve springs and manley valves.
They supported 511 rwhp with my setup and that blower at 16psi.
The D1 up grade is around $1000 bucks that last time I look in to up grading that blower before I pop the motor.
                      Progress. Should be fun.

screw it, 100 shot it is . thanks jjhirsch for letting me check out your car. looks like i'm going to get a few more safety devices before using the spray . i have a 255 pump laying around in the garage (bbk), would it be to big of a pump for basically a stock engine?

damn, 1000 for the upgrade. this is with an exchange? along with the ported heads, i also plan on getting some cams (still researching) and a P-51 intake. i was looking to boost around 15-18psi with the D-1. the car is almost ready for the HP, just waiting for diff. cover (on back order) and i'll have all the parts for the rear end and i just picked up my TKO 600 (thanks mustangmatt ) yesterday (still need all the other stuff to get it installed). i'm ahead on schedule, so it looks good that the car will be put together by next spring.
