A/C questions

my ac has never worked sence i have owned the car,but today is the first day i would really have liked to use it.

it blows warm air,what do you guys think i need to do to get cold a/c?
a system charge? or a new compressor or what?
i know nothing about ac and the cost it might be? anyone know?
and who does ac service?
is my car(95) r12 or r134-a?

yeah, it sounds like it just needs to be recharged. You gota vert, roll with the top down and just get the a/c delete kit?

today was unbearable,even with the top down. ac would have been prefered today.

so a recharge,what does that cost?

You can buy recharge kits at any Autozone and the like for about 50$ for 134 systems

those recharhe kits are bull shit! you need to tale it to a shop that is offering free a/c sytem testand go from there otherwise if you are interested I have a friend that does a/c work out of his garage! if interested pm me I'll give you his #!

if your system is empty you have a leak! your freon should not slowly leak away if that is happening you have a leak and need to fix that prior to chargeing system! if you open the system say to pull motor and then put it back together you need to evacuate the system to remove any moisture! just adding to and already failing system would be like putting duck tape on a leaking radiator hose sure it wil get you home but your still gonna need to fix!
