    air compressor recommendations?

looking into getting an air compressor for my new house in august, was wondering what you guys use. dont need anything high end of anything, just something that will get a job done. i dont care if its a small tank, i just want good compression.

Get a cheap medium sized one at home depot or fleet farm. Ive used mine for everything from nailing toungue and groove pine to impact tools.

do you plan to run alot of high demand air tools? die grinders etc? if you are, a big tank is pretty much a necessity to keep it from running the whole time..
we have a 25gallon one at the office that keeps up pretty well to impacts and the like, but for grinders it runs 85% of the time.. pretty hard on the motor..

there are deals at home depot on that air compressor, $299 comes with an impact, air rachet, air hammer, spray gun and the like...

I got the 33 Gallon sears special that is on wheels. It is a 6 HP unit and is normally $300. It is a 150 PSI unit.

well, i doubt i'd be doing anything complex with this air compressor (dont have the knowledge anyways :hah: ), but i was just looking for a basic compressor, good air flow and a good price.

just need a good one for basic shop work on cars

then the homdepot 5hp/25 gal size would work fine for you. (sears, menards, whatever is the place you like to shop) thats a pretty good deal..

Thats what I plan to get, it comes with air tools. Thay are low quality, but they work for the time being until I can get good ones.

                  I disagree.
