26x9.50x15 drag radials (I think the smallest ones they make) I cut a 1.53 60 ft. Anyone interested in them I highly recommend them.

I did the 30 mile road cruise with them. They are fine. I don't know how they are in the rain though. I also don't think they are going to wear very good but you're going to get that when they are this soft. Best pass was an 11.55 @ 112.60 on a 125 shot.8.54 @ 159 mph on a 275 drag radial

What was your best 60 ft. on them? I had to run a drag radial in Wild Street so I went with the MT's.8.54 @ 159 mph on a 275 drag radial

Matt seems to be correct, although I don't know who his source is.
No, it was weird. With the converter I have I was leaving at idle. I was also hitting the nitrous out of the hole. The converter was flashing high enough to be safe.
I put together a C4 myself. I used alto red race clutches and bands. My best motor pass was a 12.43 @ 106 and the year prior it was a 13.00 @ 106. I did do some extensive rear suspension mods also.Last edited by Ford Fan; 05-18-2005, 04:58 PM.8.54 @ 159 mph on a 275 drag radial

Could it be because the i can wiggle the converter when its fully engaged in the tranny? It has a brand new bushing and seal in it.
ET streets are scary in the rain, i have them but have never got caught in the rain (yet), my brother has them on his ride and he had to slow way down to about 30 MPH.

My best 60 ft is only a 1.873 but you have to realize that I have only had the car to the track once and I still don't know how to launch this car. Every time i launched hard the motor boged down. I think if I launched some where around 4500 rpm I should get rid of the bog.Originally posted by Ford FanWhat was your best 60 ft. on them? yeah, that should take of it, it also depends on what you have for rear suspension.Originally posted by 86convertI think if I launched some where around 4500 rpm I should get rid of the bog.

My transmission doesn't leak. You may need a bigger cooler. I am not sure. Have you tried replacing the seal? Maybe it got crooked when installing it? If I remember right I could wiggle the converter just a little when I put it in. Is it seated fully? It would probably have to be or you would have lunched the trans already. I'd try putting a new seal in it. Make sure you get the front pump clean where the seal rides. See how pitted it is. Do you have a tranny temp gauge? How hot does it get? The seal has been replaced a few times, i had a mechanic put the bushing and seal in the last time, the seal is even a ford brand seal, i watched him install it, its straight.
I made sure the converter was fully seated, cause when i tightened the nuts of the converter through the flex plate holes, it pulled the converter to it, so there is enough clearance there.
I dont have a tranny temp gauge, maybe it wouldnt be a bad idea.
Tony.

Yeah, I don't know. The only other thing is to really look at the front pump. If it is really scored or has dings in it where the seal rides maybe try a different pump. Do you know if it's leaking between the outer lip and the pump or is it leaking between the rubber seal part and the torque converter?8.54 @ 159 mph on a 275 drag radial
