Any one here good with AOD'S????

I need some help hooking up the overdrive band in one. A shift kit was installed by the previous owner but the band was not hooked up. Easy mistake, I am just a Auto tranny newbie

You don't "hook up" an overdrive band.

Sorry, that is what bauman told me to do. I guess the overdrive solonoid has a piston that needs to actualte the overdrive band. A good test is to go about 25 mph and down shift to first. the overdrive band shres in engine braking in that cercumstance. Am I nutz??? That is just what bauman told me to do???
