headlight harness

pulling my dash apart the other day i found i need to replace my headlight harness. its fryed from the headlight switch on down. where is the best place to get a new one?

seems to be i can a new one from ford. also from what i have been searching and reading, a melted harness seems to be a common problem with the gt headlight/fog light set up if it remains stock.

that is a very common thing! Happen to both of my cousins 87 & 93GT
Are you looking for the Headlight/fog light switch?? If so I believe I have a extra one off of my '90 GT. I dunno what its worth but going to FORD they probally will charge a good amount of $$ for a lil part. I'll look tomarrow and if I find it I'll definately let ya know.

thanks. when i got the car it was one of the first things on my list to pick up. so i managed to pluck what looks to me like a brand new one off ebay for $30. i believe they run $50 or better. hang on to it, never know when someone will need it.
what i relly need now is a harness from plug on out to the engine compartment. i was searching stangnets forums for some info before work. seems that i should beable to get a updated plug with harness from the dealer. find out tomorrow any way.
