what kind of paint you looking to get sprayed? How much body work do you THINK is gonna be needed? Personally I would just do a search for a body shop that can be trusted in your opinion and then see what they quote. I know a body guy that does great work, but he is pretty nusy and tends to kinda slow... but like Prostang said one time... "Have your work done good, fast, cheap... choose two."
I always say Raymond but Im not sure they'll be under your price tag, maybe try carpenter auto body, Iv heard good things about them as well and sinse its a stang im sure you would get a little extra attn. sinse that whole family is into racing stangs and such
I asked Ken Kutz (Monticello Auto Body) about your car. He'll check it out if you bring it by.
No body shop worth their salt can tell you "it will cost $3000" sight unseen. If a shop does, you probably don't want to go there. Monticello Auto Body would rather charge more for quality work (if necessary) than charge "cheap" by sacrificing the job.
Check them out. Nice shop, great people, fair price. Here is my car in their shop a few weeks ago:
I had the body/paint work done on my stang at RAYMOND auto body. The price was a little high but the quality of the paint and body work is and was damn good!!! they turned my car back into a CleanLXFox!!
