What is a good intake manifold that will fit under my strut tower brace (1995 5.0). I have been looking for one for awhile but all have an asterick by them stating you cannot use a strut tower brace with them. Otherwise I've also read that getting a bigger hood will allow a bigger strut tower brace which will consequently allow a larger intake manifold. The car is going to be set up for road racing, so I want the bulk of increased flow to be around 2500-4500 RPM. Any suggestions?

Cobra intake or Edelbrock Performer.

I have a 95 too and just got the edelbrock performer, and I had to spend some extra coin to get the edelbrock specific brace that wraps arouynd the front of it.Originally posted by HackWhy spend all that money just to get a worn out copy of a small block Ford? It's going to be in the junk yard for a reason. I understand you have a religion called LS motors and you have faith that the LS motors break the laws of physics and work better and cost less than anything else ever built. Plus they never wear out.
I disagree.

I have about the biggest( bulky) intake you can get (Holley) and it fits just fine under my strut tower brace... I'll let you in on a little something about the STB's.... most of the commen ones dont do a damn thing... there is very few designs that will help... even Maximum Motorsports is a flawed desgin in many peoples eyes because you just cant control the flex of a 3000+ pound car with 4 tiny little bolts thrue some sheet metal... now If you want I can recomend a STB that will help, its the one I have... I'll admit its a major PITA to work with but it does the job and seems to fit with just about any intake, the bar is forword of the intake, it takes tiny bit of tinkering to get the dist. cap off but thats about it... without further waiting I bring you the one, the only .... Maier Racing STB

all kidding aside this is a great part, well worth considering
EDIT.. just saw you have a 95, so not sure If they offer one yet for the later car's but I'll leave my little sales pitch for the fox guys that may be reading this.

I went to Maierracing.com and found that they do sell those STBs for SN95s. Thanks for the referral, ill look into it. As for the intake, an Edelbrock performer manifold seems to be what I am looking for. I'll try this combination and see what happens.
