Headers, Shorties longs... For an 01GT vertible.

They a pain in the ass? Or is it pretty simple install? I'm used to working on a 350 in the front of a bare boned frame soo I like my motor to have some room!!

Pipes, 3icnhes back: Over kill? And can i just forget about that pesky ole converter? I havent installed my vortech kit s/c kit with the chip and ill need to be timed with new exhaust. I got the good kit with the after cooler too.

Porting heads!!! ???

I heard about this and at first i was like WTF you can actually port these? I never heard about it.

CAMS: Lobe,duration,seperation trying to optimize the 1500-4200 rpm range.

answer which ever you can!! im at a loss and i just dumped a whole crap load of money into a supercharger kit, that I'll admit I have little clue on how to properly tune my car to run.

as for the headers thing. Lots of people say long tubes are the best. Should take approximately 8 - 10 hours to install from everything I have read on what people have posted.

I just did my LT's on Saturday on my 04 GT and it took 8 hours with an H-Pipe. Better think about the O2 sensors and extensions if you dont want to have to sauder them.

I know there are a lot of members who have done headers on 99+ GT's. They need to pipe up.

I'm no expert on the subject but from what I know headers on a 99+ is no picnic but it can be done with a day or two of work. You can send it off to Dan at DB and have him install it if you would rather just pay to have it done.

My friend just did headers on his 99 GT last summer and found it best to lift the motor up off the mounts to make some room to get the old ones off. It can be done.
