I like to leave some fuel vapors in there and hold a match to it. The imminent explosion will loosen things up and with the tank split in two it will be easy to clean. Other than that if you think there is some flaking or loose stuff inside throw some BB,s or marbles in and shake it up. A vacuum can help but don't be afraid to use water and flush it out good. Just keep air moving through it until you have it dry. A hair dryer blowing in will help warm and dry it out.

Its been drying out for a few years. No fuel vapors left. I saw some sort of gas tank cleaner solution on summit. Has anyone tried it?

I asked a similar question a few days ago and Hack suggested trying a radiator shop. That's what I did and they were able to hook me up. So, I'd recommend giving that a shot.

I never tried it but eastwood company makes a cleaner and sealer. Starts at $33.

to get all the junk out you can dump a bunch of gravel in, shake it around alot. clean out with soapy water and then rinse out with water and dry. i've used a product called red coat, or red kote, it coats the whole tank and then hardens and works really well but you have to take your time and do it right.

Spark plugs are optional in most cars. More spark plugs you add to your car, the faster your car will drive!!!!!!!!!!
