    302 Ranger swap, Help Please

A buddy of mine has an 04 2.3L 5spd 4x2 and he is debating dropping a t5 carbed 302 combo in it. First off anybody have any experience doing this or anything similar? Second what is the best way to handle the stock hydraulic clutch. I'm not sure if it would be easier/better to modify it to work with the t5 or switch to a cable setup. Thanks in advance for any helpful comments

There are quite a few options for adapting the clutch. Look at swap kits for older mustangs, those are entirely hydraulic setups. Switching to a cable is a PITA and you lose the factory pedal. The T5 shifter location is also a bit inconvenient. As I've looked at doing Ranger builds (mostly for drag/LSR) I've been throwing up my hands and concluding I'd be better off with a C4 (or AOD if you need OD). To each their own.

Clutch use a older 280z cyl and use an adapters that has the best reach. A carbed swap is easy. Vert/94-95 mounts, radiator from 4.0 auto/ac and flex hoses. If you wanna run a short front acces drive run a expo front (I have a set up from one lmk)... any more questions lmk
